Scott Brittain: Future Canadian Olympic Hero

Scott Brittain should be playing in Beijing right now. You can't tell me that this bunch of misfits on the Canadian National Team wouldn't be better without Scotty B's 10.0 PPG and 6.3 RPG. No, they decided to go with that stiff on the Sixers Sam Dalembert, Big East has-beens Denham Brown and Levon Kendall and that Syracuse wuss Andy Rautins who isn't even that good (oh right, his DAD is the coach).

Of course with this group, Team Canada lost in the quarterfinals of the Olympic qualifying tournament to some country called Croatia with a bunch of no-name unprounceables. Steve Nash heard that Scott had been left off the team, so he apparently decided not to play either. That was the difference.

So because of this, and because of the failure of Mali and the US Virgin Islands to also qualify, there will yet again be no BU Terriers in the Olympics. We will have to wait another 4 years for the basketball version of Miracle.
