Giant Killing

We're on the eve of our last chance to beat a "major" opponent this year. We play UMass tomorrow, and boy would it be sweet to take them down. After the debacle last year, which we witnessed in person (and I'm hoping the High Roller will post about that experience in the near future), it would be real nice to get a win in Amherst.

In the last few years, we have wins over Michigan, Rhode Island, Florida St and Michigan, and it would really be breaking with tradition to not to snag another big one this year. Nobody else on our schedule (Bucknell?) would provide such an opportunity. UMass was a national power in the 90s and has declined since then, but are still a good team in the solid Atlantic-10 conference.

We have come close in the past, but if Hassan can continue his hot streak this might be the year that the Minutemen go down.

Last years lost to the Minute boys hurt and made for a long drive back to Boston the Mass Pike. I remember that I couldn't speak for about an hour after the game. Freeman's a horse down low but I think that KG, Big Ben and O can do the job and bring home a victory for the Terriers.
