That was the last day BU was in an America East final. At the end of that game, which was won on a last-second shot by some frosted-hair pansy on Vermont, I stood in the front row of Case Gymnasium and stared motionless for about 10 minutes out at the court, where the Catmounters reveled with a few hundred of their fans. On our floor.
That's a terrible feeling. Tomorrow, it's time to return the favor.
If you're watching ESPN 2 tomorrow at about 1:55pm ET, I'll be the one dancing on Vermont's floor, possibly taking a dump on the Catamount's mouth at center court.
PAYBACK!!!

Hope you're ok Tall-Boy. That was a tough loss today. BU had a good run this year. Unfortunately it didn't end the way we hoped. We'll get 'em next time. Go BU!
BU Fan
sucks to BU!!! MVP Marqus blakely was too hot for you guys...hopefully next year for you guys :)....go cats gooo
Anyone still think Holland should've been POY? He was a NO-SHOW in the biggest game of his career!
jeez, you guys are pathetic. go post on your own blog.
that game really took the life out of me. Oh well at least we've got Hockey Friday night.
We win our first post-season game in 51 years @ Oregan State and we've got a home game on Monday night. OK, it may only be the CBI, but I would have thought that TallBoy would have been all over it on this blog. What's up?
I knowwwww - my bad. Gotta write something after tonight's game, win or lose
Anything on the real reason(s) that Corey Lowe left the team before last night's thriller over Morehead State?
To say he wanted 'to move on to the next phase of his life' at that juncture has less credibility than Tiger Woods story about how he ended up shirtless and shoeless following the Thanksgiving night car crash on his front lawn.
A senior simply does not leave his team before a post-season game, when it could be his last, to move on to the next phase. That explanation doesn't wash at all.
Tall-boy-
Still waiting for you to take a dump at Patrick Gym and still waiting for Corey Lowe to grow some balls.
PS- next time in Burlington maybe David Hehn will show you his three championship rings.
One of the stories making the rounds on what really happened with Corey Lowe is that a deal was struck with an agent to play in Europe after the Oregon State game, making him ineligible for further play in college. That sounds a more palpable explanation than wanting to move on to the next phase in his life, which offers no specific reason.
So, has anything happened in the BU basketball world since playing Vermont in the AE championship game?
Anything?
Hello??
Anyone there???
I'm not even making this up. David Hehn personally got me laid the first time I met him in a club Burlington. I swear to whatever you believe in. The girl was 8 years older than me and married (I didn't know! I didn't know anything about her til the morning) A seriously ridiculous time for me.
